Kavala Grahana & Gandoosha
Oil Pulling & Oral Cleansing
Purify and Revitalize Your Oral and Digestive System

Kavala grahana, a traditional Ayurvedic practice, is a therapeutic technique designed to purify the taste buds, stimulate the meridians of the mouth, and promote overall health. Ayurveda believes that the tongue serves as the mirror of the digestive and metabolic systems, with each section corresponding to vital organs like the kidneys, liver, heart, and intestines. By performing an oil gargle, we nourish the inner skin and lining of the mouth, palate, and tongue, leading to improved digestion, better circulation, and toxin elimination.
This practice is especially effective for stimulating the body's metabolic processes and reducing dryness (often linked to Vata imbalance). The oil used in this process is typically a combination of sunflower oil and Irimedadi oil, both known for their Pitta-predominant properties, aiding in the digestion and metabolism of toxins (Ama) accumulated in the body.
Benefits
- Purification: Cleanses and detoxifies the oral cavity, including the tongue and gums, by removing bacteria, parasites, and toxins (Ama).
- Digestive Health: Stimulates the digestive system by balancing Pitta, thus improving the metabolism and digestive process.
- Nourishment: Soothes and strengthens the tissues of the mouth, preventing dryness and irritation, and promoting overall oral health.
- Enhanced Detoxification: Helps in the release of toxins accumulated in the digestive tract and oral system, improving vitality and clarity.
- Oral Hygiene: Reduces bad breath, combats plaque buildup, and supports gum health.
- Mental Clarity: Improves focus and mental clarity by promoting overall detoxification of the body.
Indications
- Chronic mouth dryness or oral irritation
- Toxin buildup in the digestive system (Ama)
- Poor oral hygiene and bad breath
- General fatigue and low energy
- Stress-related or metabolic imbalances
Neti
Cleansing the Nasal Passages
Clear your breath, clear your mind

Neti is an ancient yogic and Ayurvedic cleansing technique designed to purify the nasal passages and enhance respiratory health. At our center, we offer three primary types of Neti therapy:
- Jala Neti (Salt Water Nasal Cleansing)
- Dughdhaushadhi Neti (Milk and Herbal Nasal Cleansing)
- Madhu Neti (Honey Water Nasal Cleansing)
Other advanced variations like Sutra Neti (thread cleansing) and Ghrita Neti (ghee cleansing) are also practiced under expert supervision.
Important Considerations
- Neti can be practiced daily or as needed for maintenance.
- Avoid practice during fever or acute infections.
- Ensure proper clearing of the nasal passages post-Neti to avoid blockages or headaches.
- Blowing the nose too forcefully can lead to ear discomfort — be gentle.
Benefits
- Clears nasal blockages and improves breathing
- Enhances the effects of pranayama and meditation
- Helps reduce stress, headaches, sinusitis, and nasal allergies
- Aids in preventing infections and promotes overall respiratory health
