Netra Anjana (Application of Medicated Collyrium)

Netra Anjana is a classical Ayurvedic eye therapy in which medicated collyrium (Anjana) is gently applied to the inner margins of the eyelids. This therapy helps cleanse accumulated impurities, improve vision, and maintain ocular health. The term Anjana means "to apply," and it serves both preventive (Rasayana) and curative (Shodhana) purposes depending on the type of preparation used.

The procedure is performed using a fine applicator stick or fingertip. The application produces mild tearing and a feeling of lightness, indicating effective cleansing of toxins from the eyes. Regular use of Anjana strengthens the ocular muscles, enhances brightness of vision, and prevents eye strain caused by pollution, dust, or prolonged visual activity.
