Netra Putapaka (Herbal Juice Eye Therapy)

Deeply cleanses, soothes, and revitalizes the eyes through fresh herbal extracts

Description

Netra Putapaka is a classical Ayurvedic eye treatment performed to provide deeper nourishment and purification of the eyes. The term Putapaka refers to the process of extracting potent herbal juice (swarasa) through a special method called puta, ensuring the essence of the herbs is preserved for maximum therapeutic benefit.

In this therapy, a gentle dam made of dough (prepared from black gram flour) is built around the eyes, similar to Netra Tarpana. Instead of ghee, freshly prepared warm herbal juice is poured into the dam to bathe the eyes while the client remains relaxed with eyes open. The herbal extracts are carefully chosen according to the condition of the eyes and Chakshushya (eye-strengthening) herbs.

Netra Putapaka helps clear subtle impurities, reduce inflammation, and rejuvenate the delicate eye tissues. It restores natural vision clarity, balances Pitta dosha, and enhances the strength and vitality of the visual organs.
