Netra Seka (Herbal Eye Wash Therapy)

Gently cleanses, refreshes, and soothes the eyes through continuous herbal decoction pouring

Description

Netra Seka is a classical Ayurvedic ocular therapy designed to cleanse, cool, and refresh the eyes through the gentle, continuous pouring of medicated herbal liquids. The term Seka means "sprinkling" or "washing," and this procedure involves a steady stream of lukewarm or cool herbal decoction being poured over the closed eyes from a specific height and distance.

In this treatment, the patient lies comfortably in a supine position while a thin stream of medicated liquid prepared using herbs is poured in a rhythmic manner from a vessel or cotton wick over the eyes. The process is continued for several minutes, ensuring gentle cleansing and absorption of the herbal properties through the eyelids. The temperature and type of liquid are chosen according to the eye condition.

Netra Seka helps eliminate accumulated dust, toxins, and heat from the eyes, reduces inflammation, and restores natural moisture and clarity. It is a simple yet deeply effective therapy for maintaining ocular hygiene and preventing strain-related eye issues.
