Yoni Pichu (Vaginal Oleation Therapy for Reproductive and Hormonal Balance)

Description

Yoni Pichu is a classical Ayurvedic therapy designed to nourish, soothe, and rejuvenate the female reproductive system. The term Yoni refers to the vaginal canal, and Pichu means a sterile cotton or gauze tampon soaked in medicated oil or ghee. The therapy involves the gentle insertion and retention of this medicated Pichu in the vaginal canal for a specific duration under professional supervision.

This therapy is particularly beneficial for women suffering from dryness, inflammation, menstrual irregularities, hormonal imbalances, or uterine weakness. The medicated oil acts locally to lubricate tissues, relieve discomfort, and restore balance of Apana Vata and Pitta doshas, which govern the reproductive and eliminatory functions.

Yoni Pichu is also used as a follow-up or complementary procedure after Yoni Dhawana (vaginal cleansing) or Uttara Basti (uterine enema), to provide nourishment, promote healing, and enhance tissue integrity. Different types of oils are selected according to individual doshic and clinical needs.
