Nadi Sveda (Steam Sudation with a Tube)
Facilitates the release of blocked energy and induces a sense of tranquility
Description
Nadi Sveda involves the application of herbal steam to specific parts of the body using a specialized tube. The steam is generated from herbs selected for their therapeutic properties and is primarily used to relieve localized problems. This therapy is typically administered after Part Abhyanga (localized massage).
Svedana is designed to induce sweating, which occurs through the hair follicles. Steam plays a vital role in this treatment, as it dilates the body's cells and channels, allowing toxins to be mobilized and expelled. As a result, the body's digestive fire (Agni) is stimulated, facilitating the breakdown and elimination of Ama (toxins). Svedana also helps regulate the flow of water within the body. The use of specific herbs enhances detoxification and provides targeted benefits.
In Nadi Sveda the steam is done in a localized manner with higher intensity which helps specifically in dealing with problems in the area and provides a quicker effect.
