Pinda Sveda(Bolus Sudation, Including Paste Application)
Stimulate the whole body through herbal hot bolus stamping to cleanse and rejuvenate the system
Description
In Pinda Svedana, a pinda (bolus) is prepared using grains, herbs, and milk, and applied to the body with firm massage over either the whole body or specific parts. This intense stimulation helps awaken cellular memory and enhance tissue rejuvenation. Pinda Sveda is typically performed after Whole Body or Part Abhyanga (massage). It is especially effective for treating Vata and Pitta disorders.
Svedana is a process designed to induce sweating, which occurs through the hair follicles. Steam plays an essential role in this treatment by dilating the cells and channels, allowing toxins to be mobilized and expelled. This activation of the body's digestive fire (Agni) facilitates the breakdown and removal of Ama (toxins). Svedana also aids in regulating water metabolism throughout the body. The use of specific herbs in the bolus enhances detoxification and provides targeted therapeutic benefits.
This therapy is specially beneficial in degenerative and inflammatory conditions, since it is highly nutritive in nature and cold in potency. It is also highly beneficial as a part of rehabilitation treatment.
